Indiana is investing $100 million in the state’s infrastructure through the Community Crossings Matching Grant. Community Crossings is a partnership between INDOT and Hoosier communities, rural and urban, to invest in infrastructure projects that promote economic development, create jobs and strengthen local transportation networks. Indiana was recently ranked Number One in the nation by CNBC for its infrastructure and lawmakers say they intend to keep that reputation. Since 2017, the state has dedicated around $3 billion to road projects across the state. The grant was established by the Indiana General Assembly in 2016, with the goal of advancing community infrastructure projects, strengthening local transportation networks and improving Indiana’s roads and bridges.
