Next Level Roads preserves Indiana roads and bridges

Powered by a sustainable, data-driven plan to fund roads and bridges, the Next Level Roads initiative encompasses investment in transportation infrastructure throughout Indiana. Construction programs include Bridges, Local Roads and State Routes, as well as projects to enhance Safety and Traffic Mobility. Next Level Roads emphasizes repair, restoration and maintenance to preserve these transportation assets and keep Indiana the Crossroads of America.

The Next Level Roads initiative will also advance several major highway projects:

  • $600 million to accelerate the completion of I-69 Section 6 from 2027 to 2024

  • $190 million to add new interchanges on U.S. 31 between South Bend and Indianapolis

  • Expand the number of projects that will be completed on U.S. 20 and U.S. 30 through 2023
